our rooms are located in two separate flats. we let the two apartments also as holiday flats by
weeks. the apartment on the upper floor is suitable for 4 to 6 people. the apartment on the
lower floor is suitable for 4 to 7 people. there is a kitchen in both appartments, which allows self
catering. bed linen, all towels and final cleaning are included in the rental fee. prices depend on
the number of people and the season: starting from chf 1'160 (2 rooms / 4 people | low season)
up to chf 2'325 (4 rooms / 7 people | high season).

Jui's Homestay is located at heimberg, a suburb community of thun, the gateway to the
bernese oberland at the end of lake thun.
bern, the federal city (capital), lays around 25 km in the north of our region.
Heimberg is a municipality with around 7'000 inhabitants. it is located roughly halfway between geneva
and zurich. the agglomeraion of thun has a population of around 108'000. the city center of thun can be
reached quickly and easily by bus (15 min), train (5 min), car (8 min) and also by bike (15 min). our
homestay is located directly at the national
cycling route 8, the aare route, as well as the touristic route «Grand Tour of
Switzerland». travel time by train from zurich in 1:40 hours, from geneva in 2:30 hours and from
basel in 1:45 hours to our «bed & breakfast».
about access
by train: the train stop is just a 120 m from our homestay. our accommodation is located at the railway line thun - konolfingen of bls. trains leave thun every half hour from platform 16/18. after a 4-minute ride get off at the train stop lädeli. all trains stop at lädeli (the train's destination does not matter). after a few steps in direction of travel of the train, our blue house is already visible on the left hand side. from thun, swiss and international cities are easily accessible. Milan - for example - can be reached directly by train in 2:45 hours. (display of departure times for all trains at thun station).
by bus: the bus stop is just 50 metres from the house. our house lays directly on bus line 3, thun - heimberg in the direction of heimberg, dornhalde. the buses leave thun every half hour from platform k in front of the station building. after about 14 minutes, get off at the bus stop heimberg-lädeli (during rush hour it takes longer). after a few steps in the direction of travel of the bus our blue house on the right of the street is already reached. note: the buses run on weekdays only , not on sundays and public holidays. bus timetable line 3 .
by car: it is just 500 metres from exit 16 thun-nord of the motorway a6 bern- thun. take exit 16 and then follow the sign posts Heimberg. leave the roundabout at McDonalds (left-hand side of the street) at the 3rd exit and follow the street for 180m. You have reached your destination at the blue house on the right-hand side of the street (coordinates: gps 46.78224 / 7.60777 and swiss grid 612'916 / 181'243).
about our homestay
Jui's Homestay is situated in the house built by mark's grandfather in 1924. since then, everything around the house and the community has changed radically. Since the hosts moved to the new apartment building next door at the beginning of October 2019, the whole house is now used as «bed & breakfast». the small garden in front and the terrace behind the house are available to our guests to relax. the arbor along the house is available for guests on the upper floor.
there run two wooden balconies alongside the house. The one behind the house overlooks the garden terrace, on which breakfast may be served during the warmer seasons on fine weather mornings. Our guests may use the garden and garden terrace any time.
please note: our homestay is strictly non-smoking. However you may smoke outside in the
garden, on the terrace or on the balconies, if other guests don't mind. we ask for your
understanding that we usually do not allow any pets, out of consideration for other guests
(exceptions are possible on request, depending on the overall situation with regard to other guests).
unfortunately jui's homestay is not wheelchair accessible.
