Reservation and Booking

On this page you will find all information about the reservation and booking process of a tour and accommodation by Jui's Swiss Trips & Homestay. The reservation and booking process is tightly connected to your visa application process, since you will need a confirmation by Jui's Swiss Trips & Homestay about your accommodation reservation in order to apply for a Schengen Tourist Visa to enter Switzerland.

To allow enough time to process your visa application you have to apply for a visa at least 3 weeks before your planned journey to Switzerland at the latest! At the earliest You may start your visa application process up to 3 months ahead of your planned trip. In case of heavy workload at the visa center, it may take some time to get an appointment to lodge your visa application.

Please Note:
Since we can accommodate small groups of 13 people only per tour (on special request up to an absolute maximum of fourteen people), we strictly treat all reservation requests on a first come, first served basis.

Accommodation at Jui's Homestay usually is only available in connection with a tour by Jui's Swiss Trips. However, if there is a room available due to not fully booked tours, we may let it also to guests without a booked tour on short notice or even walk-in guests.

Step 1

Please check Jui's Swiss Trip & Homestay Reservation and Occupancy Plan to find a tour date which is suitable for you. Choose your preferred date and some spare dates (two or three), just in case your preferred tour date may not be available anymore in the meantime.

Then send your reservation request, containing all relevant information as listed below by email to this address: booking@juis-swisstrips.ch. We will reply to your request usually within 24 to 36 hours. We do need your details as follows:

Tour number and date
Number of persons travelling
Preferred room number (1,2,3,5,6,7,8,(4 on special request only))
In English transcript exactly as stated in the passport for each person travelling
(all these details are needed for our cofirmation letter of your reservation, which you will need to apply for the visa):

Step 2

Upon receiving your reservation request we will confirm your reservation immediately (normally within 24 hours upon entry). Together with the reservation confirmation you will receive the invoice for a deposit to secure your booking, which is payable on receipt immediately. The deposit is approximately 33% of the tour rate and is payable in Swiss Franc (CHF) by bank transfer to the bank account stated on the invoice.
In case of a refused visa we will reimburse your deposit by bank transfer according to our General Terms and Conditions.

If you didn't do it already before, you should do it now at the latest: register at TLScontact's webpage and make an appointment to lodge your visa application. You find some useful information on how to apply for a Schengen Visa to enter Switzerland as a tourist in our section visa information.

Until step 3 is completed, you should prepare all the other papers you need to apply for the visa, including the compulsory insurance, according to the list given to you at the time of registration at TLScontact's webpage.

Step 3

As soon as your deposit is booked to our bank account (allow 3 to 4 days for the transfer), we will send you the confirmation letter by email about your accommodation reservation with Jui's Homestay, which you need for the visa application. At the same time you will also receive the receipt of your paid deposit and the invoice for the remaining amount payable according to your booked tour.

Step 4

By now you should be ready for lodging the visa application either at TLS'contact or the Swiss Embassy. To avoid any delay, please make sure that you have got all the neccessary papers. An incomplete file will not be accepted and you will have to start all over again.

From the time your visa application has been accepted, it will take 6 to 10 days until you will get the visa, depending on the workload of the Swiss Embassy's Visa Section.

If your visa application is rejected, make sure to get a formal letter about this fact, in order to get reimbursed by the insurance company of your travel insurance.

Step 5

After you got your Schengen Visa (Type C), which validity must include the period of your stay with Jui's Swiss Trips & Homestay, you can finalize your travel plans. Buy the flight ticket which you reserved for the visa application and transfer the payment for your booked tour and/or accommodation at Jui's Swiss Trips & Homestay, according to the due date on the invoice you received before. Please notify us of your exact flight schedule, so that we can pick you up on time at the airport.
